Three Ways You Can Incorporate Apple Cider Vinegar In Your Natural Hair Regimen

Apple cider vinegar? Yes sweetheart! I love this product so much as it has so many benefits for the hair and is also very versatile and can be used for various purposes. Its acidity is close to that of natural hair, it is a good conditioner and cleaning agent and also an effective germ killer. Ever heard it is also used on the skin for different purposes? Yeah! That’s how lovely this product is. But in this post, i’ll be teaching you three different ways you can incorporate it into your natural hair care regimen.

Apple Cider Vinegar To Alleviate Itchy, Dry Scalp and Dandruff

Apple cider vinegar is known for being rich in vitamins and minerals good for hair, like vitamin B and C. It also contains alpha-hydroxy acid which helps exfoliate scalp skin, and it is anti-inflammatory, which can help with dandruff.

How To Use Apple Cider Vinegar To Alleviate Itchy, Dry Scalp And Dandruff.

To achieve this, you’ll need:

  • Clean small bowl or plate
  • Water
  • Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Cotton Pads
  • Applicator bottle
  • Tea tree or peppermint oil

Directions

  • Pour four tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in the bowl (The quantity to use is dependent on one’s hair volume and length).
  • Dilute by adding two table spoons of water.
  • Cut out a small portion of the cotton pads and soak in the mixture.
  • Take it out of the mixture and squeeze gently making sure not to squeeze out everything.
  • Part your hair in sections for manageability and hold with clamps or ouchless bands depending on the ones you have.
  • Unclamp each section and use the cotton pads to clean your scalp only not forgetting your edges and baby hairs at the back of your head.
  • When done, pour the oil (you can mix the two oils; tea tree and peppermint or just any of them) into an applicator bottle for easy application. However if you do not have one, use your hands dear.
  • Apply oil to the scalp massaging slightly at the same time for proper blood circulation to the scalp which will in turn stimulate hair growth

This is the remedy i’m currently using as i normally experience itchiness on the scalp. Please do this ACV remedy on a freshly washed and deep conditioned hair.

Apple Cider Vinegar As Hair Rinse

A frequent hair problem ACV will help you solve is product buildup removal because most clarifying shampoos that claim to remove the build up from hair doesn’t. Product buildups not only makes your hair feel dirty but clogs the scalp which in the long run, retards hair growth and we definitely do not want that!

How To Rinse Hair With Apple Cider Vinegar

This is super easy. After shampooing hair, Pour a mixture of 4 tablespoons of ACV and 2 Tablespoons of water (This is dependent on one’s hair length and volume. Use of discretion is adviced to know the amount of mixtures to use) into a spray bottle and spritz on scalp and hair. Leave for 30 minutes and rinse off with just water. Alternatively, you can just pour the mixture on your hair to rinse it making sure it runs from your scalp to the ends of your hair or you can choose to leave it for 30 minutes after pouring on hair and then rinse off with clean water. You’ll notice how smooth and shiny your hair will be afterwards. Did i forget to mention all the buildup will disappear? Yeah! Exactly!

Apple Cider Vinegar For Head Lice

Lice infestation is something you don’t want you or your child to experience at all. It is very contagious and in most cases, the affected person is adviced to barb or chop off all hair. Some commercial lice preparations are toxic as some contain pesticides and is not advisable to use. However, following herbal head louse treatment described in the Gale Encyclopedia of Alternative Medicine that uses all natural hair care products below is a better remedy.

  • Carefully brush the head or child’s head with a mixture of 3 parts olive oil and 1 part lavender essential oil.
  • First apply to a small area to test for allergic sensitivity or skin reaction.
  • The hair should be saturated with the olive oil mixture and a shower cap put on for 5 hours. The olive oil clogs the breathing pores of the lice and they can’t hold their breath for more than 4 hours.
  • Follow this by an ACV rinse, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of ACV added to 1 cup (250 ml) water, to unglue the nits from the hair.
  • Nits or lice eggs are fairly small and can be pearly to grey in color.
  • Then, using a fine tooth comb, hair should be combed meticulously to remove the lice eggs from the hair shaft.
  • And finally, wash the child’s hair with a natural shampoo.

Once completed, check your or the child’s hair as the case may be every other day for the next 10 days, and if needed repeat the treatment.

Apple Cider Vinegar is sure the real deal! Have you tried any of them? Which one will you try? Let’s chat in the comment section.

Hmm it looks like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any tips and hints for first-time blog writers? I’d definitely appreciate it.|

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!|
